APPLICATION: Ameraflex Ultralon™ gasket material is a very high performance product that is designed for use in process piping and equipment in chemical and industrial applications where there is a need for resistance to highly aggressive chemicals (including hydrofluoric acid).

Ameraflex Ultralon™ is highly effective within a temperature range of -350°F to 550°F (-212°C to 288°C) or with pressure up to 1500 psi (8.3 MPa). It is useful as a gasketing material in plants where barium sulfate filled PTFE may prove insufficient. It can also be used as gasketing for anhydrous hydrogen fluoride (AHF) in railroad tankcars. It is the ultimate gasketing material in low creep and cold flow.

Composition: Ameraflex Ultralon™ is made from pure PTFE resins combined with carbon fibers and is homogeneously dispersed throughout the compound. Ameraflex Ultralon™ demonstrates excellent electrical conducting properties. Ameraflex Ultralon™ does not exhibit the cold flow problems associated with virgin PTFE yet possesses excellent sealability, flexibility, non-sticking and cutting characteristics.
